Sony Playstation 3

Powered by a 3.2Ghz Cell CPU and a Nvidia RSX GPU, Sony's seventh generation console has sold over 10 million (and counting). Released on the 11th of November 2006 and having the power of a supercomputer (courtesy of IBM) it also packed a Blu-ray drive, which bumped up the ticket price for all those early adoptors. Though having the most powerful seventh generation console, Sony wasn't able to back up their previous victories and, in the short term at least, lost out to the Nintendo Wii.

This limited edition PS3 will be hitting the shores of North America to celebrate the June 12th release of Metal Gear Solid 4. Great news for the North Americans, though I wasn't able to find out if this was coming to other countries (especially Australia, for the completely selfish reason of me wanting one). Japan has already had this colour and it does look fantastic.
