Wii MotionPlus - provides more acurate representation of movement - 16/07/2008 by Andrew

Nintendo has announced the Wii MotionPlus, which clips on to the base of the Wii Remote. This little addition promises to add better motion sensing and allows upcoming game titles to use 'true movement' rather than the rather clunky (but still brilliant and ground breaking) motion sensing that the standard remote and nunchuck provides.

Obvious future titles will be a Star Wars light sabre based game or other 'hand to hand' combat games, though I'm sure there will be other games that could benefit.
